International Children's Memorial Place

The mission of the International Children's Memorial Place is to provide a place that is environmentally conducive to the promotion and improvement of both mental and physical health through nature, communication, and education.

This place is dedicated to those individuals seeking to restore their lives due to the loss of a loved one, particularly parents who have lost a child.
 

This promotion will help foster a greater appreciation for life and our surroundings, thereby developing a greater personal independence and self-esteem, to all those who visit this place. Our organization is run on a volunteer basis, and has charitable status. This project was created in an effort to help ease pain, bring peace to those who have lost a loved one, and foster awareness about the pain caused by the loss of a loved one. To most people this loss is very devastating, and, if not dealt with, could last a lifetime. The ICMP is located on the banks of Scales Pond which flows into the Dunk River.  The 12 acre site is located in the centre of PEI, and has historically been known for its beauty, hydro power generation, and recreational activities.
